What are you going to do?
As a Business Development Representative you’ll be working in our sales team to build up and nurture our pipeline of potential customers. You’ll develop a keen understanding of our SaaS solution to be able to understand the clients’ challenges and problem-solve how our tool could help their businesses.
Day-to-day you’ll be responsible to:
- Source leads by prospecting through outbound calling, email outreach, social media outreach
- Handle inbound leads from Marketing or from our team of part-time Lead Generators
- Nurture, further qualify, and ultimately convert these leads into product demonstration meetings for our Business Development Managers
- Serve as a key contact point for potential customers to discuss their technical requirements, budgets, timelines, and scope for implementation
- Occasionally attend demonstrations and trade shows around the UK with our BDMs
- Create Requests for Information and complete tenders to win new business opportunities
- Collaborate with marketing to think creatively about potential new avenues for attracting prospects
The team you'll be joining
You’ll be working alongside the other BDRs in our London and Manchester branches, reporting into the Internal Sales Manager of the UK. You’ll collaborate closely with our part-time Lead Generation team, as well as Marketing & Events.
Additionally, our UK sales function is split into crossfunctional Business Units which each focus on particular segments of the market. Upon joining you’ll be assigned a Business Unit and dedicated to generating opportunities in specific industries alongside a Business Development Manager, Service Management Consultant, and Customer Success Manager.
As TOPdesk has branches around the world, you’ll be part of international organisation too! While you’ll be focusing on the UK markets, there may also be opportunities to collaborate with international colleagues.
Job requirements
Are you our new Business Development Representative?
- A graduate with a a 1st or 2:1 university degree preferred – all disciplines welcome
- 1+ year’s experience in B2B sales preferred
- An interest in technology and software
- Exceptional and persuasive communication skills
- An energetic and target-driven individual
- A team player with the ability to build relationships
- Go-getter with the tenacity and drive for new business development
- Ambitious and eager to learn
